Jonathan Kimble "J.K." Simmons is an American actor who has become known for his versatile performances on both stage and screen. He was born on January 9, 1955, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, to Patricia Kimble Simmons and Donald William Simmons, a middle school music teacher. and grew up in the Detroit area, Where he attended Wylie E. Groves High School in Beverly Hills, Michigan. Simmons showed an early interest in music and played the bassoon in the school's orchestra, Simmons attended the University of Montana, where he earned a degree in music.
